Privacy policy
How Playerlexicon handles personal data under UK GDPR: what we collect, why, and your rights.
This policy explains how Brightwire Reference Ltd (“we”), the operator of playerlexicon.com, handles personal data. We are the data controller for the information described here. Last updated 2026-11-03.
What we collect
- Emails you send us. If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you include. We use it only to reply and to fix the issue you raise. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- Server logs. Our hosting and security providers process technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Logs are kept for a short period. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- Your cookie choice. Your Accept or Reject choice is stored in your own browser so we do not ask again. It is not sent to us.
We do not run accounts, newsletters, comment forms or adverts, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Analytics
No analytics tools are currently loaded. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in the future, they will only run after you choose Accept in the cookie banner, and this policy will be updated first.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal data. It is shared only with service providers who host and secure the site or our email, under contracts that require them to protect it. Emails are kept for up to two years unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, and request a copy. Email [email protected] to make a request. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
